From its very beginning, Todd Wilson's vision has shaped the Nashville Singers into an ensemble dedicated to the highest levels of choral artistry, both onstage and off. His unwavering enthusiasm for the profound impact of choral music on the lives of singers and listeners is palpable in every rehearsal, public performance, and the music they create.
Todd's lifelong engagement with singing began at age six. His musical leadership extends to six different mixed, male, and female choral groups across Florida, Texas, Illinois, and Tennessee.
Todd's exceptional musical achievements include six International Chorus Championships with the internationally acclaimed Vocal Majority Chorus and an International Quartet Championship with ACOUSTIX. This quartet has produced six CD projects since 1991 and has contributed to 35 other audio and video releases.
Wilson got his college education from the University of North Texas, Strayer University, and Palm Beach Community College. Todd's retired from working in 2024, with the last eight years of his career at Amazon.
His significant contributions to barbershop music were recognized in 2000 with his induction into the Southwestern District "Hall of Fame" of the Barbershop Harmony Society. A 52-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Todd is also a member of the Association of International Champions,.
The Nashville Singers was co-founded by Todd, his father, Harlan Wilson, his oldest son Taylor, and lifelong friend Bruce Cokeroft.
When not focused on the Nashville Singers, Todd shares his musical passion with his youngest son, Travis, as they both play trumpet in the Nashville Community Concert Band. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 1989 and reside in Celina, Tennessee.
Todd's dedication to the ensemble was further acknowledged when he received the Nashville Singers Member of the Year Award for 2009.
